Vs. Sky Mod Friday Night Funkin' is a game utility developed by Gamebanana. As the name suggests, this free app works as a modification for Friday Night Funkin'. It adds a new character named Sky and new beats to the music rhythm game.

Like other FNF mods, Vs. Sky Mod comes with a short story. However, it does not affect any other game mechanics. With this, long-time players need not learn new gameplay and controls. However, unlike other mods, such as Vs. Whitty and Vs. Shaggy, this FNF add-on provides multiple endings besides dialogue and cutscenes. 

New opponent and new songs

Vs. Sky Mod Friday Night Funkin' brings a new character to the base game of Friday Night Funkin'. Sky is a minor in-game persona. In the mod, she is interested in dating the protagonist, Boyfriend. However, Boyfriend rejected her. As a result, she felt resentment towards the current Girlfriend. From there, things turned for the worst. Like other FNF mods, Sky will challenge Boyfriend to a musical battle. Boyfriend must win them to protect Girlfriend from Sky.

Vs. Sky Mod gives players access to a whole new week within FNF. You will face Sky in a total of three stages, each with its own song and custom chart. As mentioned, this mod offers two different endings, and the ending you'll get depends on your accuracy in overcoming the last song of the week. If you beat Sky with an accuracy above 70%, you will get the ending. However, get an accuracy below that threshold, and you will meet a bad ending.

Another interesting thing about the mod is how well-done Sky's skin is. The developers manage to highlight the different evolutions that Sky acquires as you advance stages. By the third round, Sky's evolution is already epic. More than that, the dialogues and cinematics that accompany the mod also contributed a lot to the atmosphere of the new week. Of course, the difficulty level will also be more challenging compared to the base game.

Still the original mechanics

Like other FNF mods, Vs. Sky Mod Friday Night Funkin' only adds a new opponent and songs to the base game. The original mechanics remain. Thus, it does not require long-time players to learn new rules. The gameplay will have the same concept as Dance Dance Revolution and PaRappa the Rapper, wherein your objective is to match the arrows as it floats towards the top of the screen. The more accurate you are in matching them, the higher your chance of winning.

At the bottom of the screen, you can see your standing in the game through a meter. The meter moves left or right, indicating who's winning. It will move towards the left when Boyfriend is winning and towards the right when he's losing. The meter will also change depending on how well you are playing. It will turn green when you win and red when you lose.
